On 26 August 2026 the All India Football Federation named Anthony Andrews assistant coach of the India U17 Women's National Team, working alongside head coach Joakim Alexandersson.
Anthony continues as head coach of East Bengal FC, holding both roles at the same time. His first assignment was two friendlies against Uzbekistan in Tashkent, ahead of the AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers in Malaysia in October.
A record that earned the call
- Four Indian Women's League titles: two with Gokulam Kerala FC (2021/22, 2022/23) and two with East Bengal FC (2024/25, 2025/26). No other coach has won the league more than once.
- The SAFF Women's Club Championship 2025, the South Asian club title, won without conceding a goal.
- The first win by an Indian women's club in the group stage of the AFC Women's Champions League, and the first Indian club to reach that stage in back to back seasons.
For young players, it means working with a coach who has won at every level of the Indian game and has taken a club side into Asia. For Hestia, it is a proud moment for a coach we represent.
